How To Prepare For Your Botox® Visit

Before Treatment

Acetaminophen is safe to take for headaches or minor pain as it does not thin the blood. Avoid Alcohol Consumption for 48 hrs prior to treatment. Eat Fresh Pineapple (Contains Bromelain) 1-2 days prior to Injection. Take Arnica Supplements 1-2 days prior to Injection. See the full list of medications to avoid 7-10 days prior to treatment.

During Treatment

Botox® takes 10 minutes or less to inject. You will feel a slight pinch or stinging sensation during the procedure. Most people experience little to no pain during treatment.

Aftercare

Aftercare includes not wearing makeup or washing your face for 2 hours after. Do NOT lift heavy objects or go to the gym for 24hrs post. Do NOT rub/touch areas. No alcohol/blood thinners for 24 hrs post. Avoid having any facial treatments including chemical peels/lasers/massages for 2 weeks. See the full aftercare here.

When Will I See Results and How Long Does It Last?

Allow 10-14 days for the Botox® to kick in fully. Potential side effects include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. Less common side effects include temporary ptosis (drooping) of eyelids/brows, or smile and brow asymmetry. The effects of Botox® last 3-4 months on average. It is recommended that you get treated 3-4 times a year to maintain results, so come on back for botox in Atlanta GA!
